The general and final account makes it possible to definitively settle the balance of the contract, because it irrevocably fixes the rights and financial obligations of the parties. It is the result of a process involving the contractor, the project manager and the client.
As part of the execution of the works contract, the project manager must establish, on behalf of the contracting authority or the private contracting authority, a final general statement to summarize the sums due. This thus closes the legal and financial execution of the contract. How is the final general account drawn up? It all starts with the notification of the report (report) of acceptance of the work. On the basis of this report, the contractor draws up a draft final account (PDF) which he sends to the project manager (MOE) with a copy to the client (MO).
